Condition Excellent condition. This is a pen to express a wine lover's passion. The oak used in the pen's body comes from the highly regarded Château Lafite Rothschild vineyard and cellars, where precious bottles dating back to 1797 have rested. Gently tapered shape resembles the wine barrels that inspired this edition. Beautiful, naturally textured wood is a rich, medium brown, with variations in hue; we can't determine whether these are due to natural variations in the material, or staining. The wood portions of the cap and barrel do not show any obvious wear or damage. The sterling silver portions have light marks and microscratching, but are overall in excellent shape, with no dings or dents. All of the imprints, including the Domaines Barons de Rothschild logo, are clear. No box or paperwork.
