Product Description
Type Fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Omas Paragon - Celluloid Collection
Manufacturer and Year Omas, Italy -- 1997, the section is dated and identifies this pen as part of the second celluloid collection of the 1990s. You'll see a lot of pens on the market that are using the Omas arco celluloid, but this pen pre-dates the demise of the Omas pen company.
Length 5-5/8".
Filling System Piston filling system. Tested and working well.
Color Arco Brown celluloid. It's like a woodgrain pattern where the lighter browns seem to glow. The pen looks very different when held in different lighting at different angles. It has a Greek key pattern cap band that molds itself to the facets and has a pair of narrow bands on the top and bottom of the main band.
Nib 18k Fine nib. The nib is two-toned with silver colored masking and matte gold. The nib is springy and almost spreads enough for line variation. There is an F on the side of the nib to identify nib size. The masking looks perfect. The photographs make the pen look shiny, but the gold parts definitely have a satin finish. The nib is in great condition.
Condition Superior pre-owned condition. No cracks, chips, scratches, or personalization. No dents or dings on the cap. The nib looks perfect. The pen has handwear though and when admiring the arco finish in sunlight, you can make out the faint wear. Ships in large velvet display box with paperwork. This type of Omas box does not stay open well.
