Product Description
Type Fountain pen with the Japanese-style eyedropper filling system
Product Name Fantasia
Manufacturer and Year Opus 88, Taiwan - 2018
Length 4-5/8" long
Filling System Japanese-style eyedropper. It has the large capacity of an eyedropper pen (nearly 3 ml!), but the added benefit of a shut-off valve to keep the pen from leaking. To fill it, unscrew the section and drip ink into the barrel with an eyedropper. When you're ready to write, unscrew the blind cap a bit, which releases a rubber stopper inside and allows ink to flow into the feed. You can then close it up and get a couple of pages of writing, or leave it open for longer sessions. When the blind cap is closed, the stopper prevents temperature or pressure changes causing burping or excessive ink flow.
Color Green. This pen has a green cap, teal translucent barrel, and black blind cap. The cap also has rings in blue, red, black, and orange of varying widths. Chrome trim. Note: this color combination was not originally produced by the company. The green cap originally came with a translucent amber barrel, and had a matching green blind cap. There was also a black variant with a translucent teal barrel, and a matching black blind cap.
Nib Extra fine steel nib.
Condition Excellent, in box, with paperwork. The eyedropper that was originally included in the box is not present. This is a short pen in a playful color combination that looks really great. Very light handwear and microscratching. The packaging appears almost new. All imprints are clear.
Fun details: the finial on the top of the cap can be used as a screwdriver to help you open the piston. Also, the cap screws on to post, and the blind cap is slightly narrowed so that when you do post the cap, it won't interfere with the piston knob!
