Product Description
Type Fountain pen with aerometric filing system
Product Name Parker 17 Lady
Manufacturer and Year Parker, England -- 1962-72, though sold through the 1970s, production of Parker 17's ended in 1972. The Deluxe version wasn't a launch version.
Length 5-3/8", standard size.
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler like the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s..
Color Green with gold plated trim including a thin cap band..
Nib MEDIUM gold nib. It writes on the narrow side. It is hooded and similar to the Parker 51. The earliest Parker 17's had open nibs. The material for the 17 Deluxe nibs matches the barrel trim. This is the correct nib.
Condition Very Nice condition. The plating on the clip is flaking off on the sides, there are obviously brassed spots exposed. The slip cap holds the cap a little too firmly so it takes a bit of a tug to remove for writing. The imprint is very clear. There isn't too much handwear. The aerometric sac is heavily stained and the sac cover is dented. The cap and body have no dings, scratches, or cracks.
