Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen with a reversable nib, working well.
Product Name Parker 180.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA - they started making this model in 1977, but we're not sure when this particular finish was introduced. There's no date code. It has the later dish tassie, as opposed to the smooth one.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System It takes Parker style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via a converter. A squeeze converter is installed.
Color Brushed stainless steel body and cap with gold plated trim.
Nib FB 14k nib is reversible. When the nib is designated with two letters, when you write with the nib in the normal position and you get one line width (fine), then flip it over and write with the other side and you'll get the other line width (broad).
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a slim, shiny, classic pen that looks nice. The cap and barrel have light microscratching. The gold end piece of the barrel looks nice. The clip has plating wear and dots and smudges of pitting. The top tassie has light microscratching and plating wear along the edge. The nib collar above the section has surface discoloration. It is difficult to twist the section to reveal the converter but the mechanism does work. The imprints are clear.
