Type Desk pen base and a fountain pen that fits.
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric. It fits in the bases with the "Magnetix" holders. There's a circular logo on the pen holder that looks a bit like the early CBS logo, but it doesn't match it exactly.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1960s (No date code, and Parker stopped dating these pens in the early 1960s. The information booklet inside has a line that references 6-62, which we think may be a copyright date.).
Length The pen is 6-3/8" long and the base measures 4.5" by 8" by 1"
Filling System Aerometric filling system. Tested and working well.
Color The pen is black with a gold clutch band to hold the pen in the base. The base is a clear lucite.
Nib Medium gold nib.
Condition Mint in Box condition. The pen retains the original chalkmark and cardboard tube nib protector. The base is perfect with original price sticker on the bottom. Even the box is in great shape; it still has the outer protective sleeve, so there are just a couple of dings on the sides.
