Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric Pen Set.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1948-49 (The pencil has a date code of 8 with one dot and the pen has a date code of 9 with no dots.)
Length The pen is 5-1/8" and the pencil is 4-3/4".
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system for the pen and cap actuated mechanism for the pencil. The pencil takes "thin" leads and 0.9mm refills should work.
Color Black with stainless steel "Lustraloy" caps and an arrow clip. Pearlescent cap jewels. The pencil has a cone with engraved ridges.
Nib Fine gold nib is in excellent condition with smooth tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition overall. The pencil is in near mint condition with light handwear and a clear imprint and even lustraloy finish. The fountain pen is in very nice condition. The barrel has handwear and the cap has one larger and two smaller dents. The lustraloy finish is also very strong on this cap and the imprint is clear. The trim, particularly on the tassie, is a bit worn. Both pen and pencil have been personalized, "Hazel Pattinson." No chips, cracks, or personalization. They work very well. They ship in a Parker 51 box.
