Product Name Parker 51, they called the sets with the pen holder held magnetically in place "Magnetix."
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- made after 1952 (when they stopped marking date codes).
Length The base is 6-7/16" x 3-3/8". The fountain pen is 6-3/8" long from the nib to the end.
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filler. We've cleaned and tested it and it's working very well.
Color Black onyx base and black pen with gold plated trim.
Nib MEDIUM 14k nib is smooth and firm with lovely tipping, very smooth.
Condition Very nice condition. The pen shows some small scratches and marks of wear, as well as spots where the plating is just slightly flaking off on the clutch ring and the gold end piece. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The base shows some scratching and wear on its gold trim, with small marks of brassing apparent. There are also two small chips in the edges of the onyx base. Otherwise it's gorgeous, everything is working very well.
It comes in its original packaging, with the original Parker handout, and the gold namplate for the base in a separate sleeve so that you can have it engraved and then stick it on yourself.
