Product Description
Type Fountain pen with a squeeze "Aerometric" filling system.
Product Name Parker 51.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – post-1952, at least for the body of the pen (no imprint). The arrow clip on the cap first appeared around 1948, so it likely dates from before the rest of the pen.
Length Full size, 5-3/8".
Filling System Fixed aerometric squeeze filling system ("press 4 times"). We've tested it and it's working very well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Dark "midnight" blue body with a 1/10 12k gold-filled "converging lines" cap with a long arrow clip and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib BROAD gold nib, probably best described as medium-broad since modern broads are wider.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a shiny, dark blue pen with an elegant gold cap. The section has light scratching. The barrel has light scratching, and some moderate scratches caused by the cap lip. The cap has light scratching and polishing marks, as well as a tiny ding. The clip has some plating wear along the sides, and the clip ring has brassing and some small scuffs. The pearlescent jewel looks great.
