Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Parker 51 Aerometric
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England, after 1950. There is a date code of four with three dots, which on a US made pen we'd interpret at 1944. However, P51 production in the UK started in 1947 and they made Vacumatic fillers for a few years before switching, in 1950, to aerometric. They used the long arrow version of the clip from 1948 to 1951, which dates this pen in the 1950-1 period.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system
Color Velvety black colored plastic body with a rolled gold cap with a converging lines pattern.
Nib MEDIUM 14k nib. Excellent tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an elegant, shiny pen in a great color pattern. The velvety black, shiny barrel has mostly light scratching with some scratched at the end caused by posting. The cap has moderate microscratching. There is a small nick on the cap lip. Some brassing on the sides and high points of the clip. The top pearlized jewel looks very good. The imprints are clear.
