Product Description
If you are having work done on your Parker 51,
why not spring for a new nib with 100% iridium and no bad habits?
Type Nib for Parker 51 fountain pen. No other parts, just the nib you see pictured.
Product Name This was Parker part number 295-165 -- see scan of the Parker inventory envelope and inspection slip (not included in this listing). It will fit all Parker 51s, though the nib may have been produced toward the end of the Parker 51 life cycle when they were only making aerometrics. We tested the nib on the earlier Vacumatic verison as well and it fit and worked. It looks exactly like the used nibs in our parts bin which we have recovered from vacumatic versions of the Parker 51, except that it has a second hole (see comparison photo below).
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1970s
Nib Marked 14k and "Parker Made in USA". We consider this to be a fine, though it is wider than most of the nibs we see on Parker 51s just because it has all its iridium and is not worn. See writing sample below, done on 5mm grid paper.
Condition Perfect brand new condition. This nib has never been installed in a pen and has been stored away for close to 50 years. Perfect iridium.
