Color The color is called burgundy, and it is very dark brownish-burgundy colored. It looks darker (almost black) in the photographs than it actually is. Smooth, shiny steel cap. Black cap jewel.
Nib Smooth ocatanium (steel alloy) nib in medium.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a classically styled pen in a good color with a very smooth and shiny cap. The barrel has heavy scratching around the circumference on the upper third portion of the pen; it has moderate scratching at the end of the pen. The section has long thin scratch lines caused by capping. The cap has light wear and one little bit of pitting. The clip looks quite nice. The tassie has plating wear where it attaches to the clip. The black jewel has a few light scratches but it looks very good overall. The imprints are clear.
