Product Name Parker 51 Special Edition with Empire State Cap
Manufacturer and Year Parker, UK -- 2002

Filling System Cartridge or converter. It comes fitted with a piston converter, and under the paperwork in the box you'll find a packet of blue Parker cartridges. The cartridges are starting to dry out.
Color Black barrel, sterling and vermeil cap etched with a design reflecting the shape of the Empire State Building. Also known as the Icicle design. It has pearlescent cap and barrel jewels and 23K trim including the classic blue diamond parker clip.
Nib 18K Broad Nib is smooth and has lots of tipping material. We've noticed that the nib slit is slightly unevenly cut, but the pen still writes nicely.
Condition Near mint condition, never inked. No real dents or dings on the cap, though there is some light polishing marks in the gold portions. The sterling parts have some tarnish, though in the hand it's much shinier than it appears in the photos. There are some very faint scratches near the end of the barrel, possibly caused by posting the cap. The gold clutch rings have scratching, and there are some light marks on the section hood from the cap lip. The jewels are beautiful. The imprint is clear. Ships with the original box, case, polishing cloth, cartridges, and paperwork, including a page that declares itself a certificate of authenticity.
These are almost impossible to find without cracks in the barrel. We inspected it thoroughly and found no cracks. We're betting that half of these listed on eBay right now have cracks that have been overlooked by the seller.
