Color Black barrel, vermeil cap etched with a design reflecting the shape of the Empire State Building. This is sometimes called the Icicle design. It has pearlescent cap and barrel jewels and 23K trim including the classic blue diamond Parker clip.
Nib 18K Medium Nib is smooth and has lots of tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition in Special Edition box, with paperwork. There are some fine lengthwise scratches on the section hood, likely from the cap. The barrel has microscratching. These are almost impossible to find without cracks in the barrel, but we have carefully examined this barrel and found no cracks. No dents or dings on the cap. The gold and silver look good, though the cap band and top of the cap have some small scratches and polishing marks. There are also tiny dots of tarnish in the gold near the top of the cap, as well as some tarnish in the grooved pattern in the silver. The clip is perfect, with no brassing or plating wear. Jewels are perfect. Comes in special edition box that was made to resemble some Parker boxes from the 1950s, a booklet, and a polishing cloth. There is an (empty) cartridge box underneath the platform.
