Product Description
Type Vintage Vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Parker 51 Vacumatic
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA - 1946 (imprint clearly shows a 6 date code with two dots).
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Piston/plunger (Vacumatic) filler. We've fully restored it and it's working well. We'll enclose instructions for using this system.
Color Black body with a 1/10 16k gold filled cap in a pattern of groups of 4 parallel lines, a short Blue Diamond clip (the blue paint is a little worn off) with a pearlescent cap jewel. The clutch ring is gold plated in the middle, the plating is just slightly worn.
Nib FINE gold nib is fairly smooth and firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition, near perfect except for a dent in the cap. (You can see the dent in the bottom photo. Unfortunately we were unable to get the jewel out in order to remove the dent. You may have better luck.) There's some light scratching on the barrel and the hooded nib section. There are some small marks of wear in the gold filled trim around the cap jewel. No cracks, chips, or personalization. The imprint is fairly clear and readable, and it's fully restored and working well.
