Type Vintage fountain pen with a restored vacumatic filling system.
Product Name Parker 51 Vacumatic.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA - circa mid 1940s (imprint is too worn to really see what the date code is).
Length Fullnsize pen, 5-3/8".
Filling System Piston/plunger (Vacumatic). We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well. We'll include instructions on filling this pen.
Color Cedar blue body with a 1/10 16k gold filled cap in a pattern of even parallel lines in groups of 4, a short blue diamond clip (the blue paint is excellent), and an amber colored cap jewel. it looks like the clutch ring was gold plated in the middle, but most of the plating is gone.
Nib FINE gold nib is fairly smooth with nice tipping. It's quite firm.
Condition Excellent condition with some light scratches on the barrel, scuffing on the blind cap from the cap being posted, and some light wear on the cap. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The cap shows a few very small scratches. There's some light plating wear on the clip, and a little brassing on the lip of the cap. The clutch ring has some small scratches in it. The imprint is worn. The pen is restored and working very well.
