Filling System Vacumatic filling system. We've fully restored it here at Peyton Street Pens, and we fully guarantee it will be free of leaks and filling issues. The pencil takes 0.9mm leads, which extend and retract by twisting the cap.
Color Light brown (Buckskin Beige) body, 1/10 16k gold filled cap in a pattern of grouped lines alternating with blank spaces. Blue diamond clip, and pearlescent jewels. The center of the clutch ring is gold plated.
Nib FINE 14k hooded nib is smooth and firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition with some wear. The fountain pen has light scratching and handwear on the cap, with a ring of scratching about 1/4" above the cap lip. There are some tiny dots of plating wear on the cap, as well as some tiny shallow dents. The clip has plating wear along the sides, and there is slight brassing on the clip ring. The cap jewel has tiny chips around the edge, and there is some crazing on the surface. The section has the typical lengthwise scratching from capping. No chips or cracks around the nib opening. The clutch ring looks great, and all of the plating in the center is present. The barrel looks great. The blind cap is slightly lighter than the rest of the pen. The ring around the blind cap jewel has brassing; the end jewel looks great. The mechanical pencil looks fantastic. The cap jewel has shallow scratching. The clip has a bit of plating wear along the sides, and there is some brassing on the clip ring. The barrel has light to moderate scratching. The nose cone has brassng around the opening. The pencil mechanism is working very well. The set ships in a lovely Parker 51 box with a burgundy surface. There's a ribbon inside the top with a "51" badge attached!
Both pieces are personalized with the initials "A. L. T." engraved on their caps.
