Product Name 61 Insignia (or Signet)
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1959-62
Length Both the ballpoint and the pencil measure 5-1/16" in length.
Filling System Takes standard Parker ballpoint refills. The mechanical pencil takes 0.9mm (or "thin") leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism. We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color This is the "Insignia," or "Signet" finish: 1/10 12k gold filled bodies and caps with pearlescent cap jewels and rolled gold clips.
Condition Excellent condition. Both pieces are looking great, with the exception of a shallow indent in the lower barrel of each, in just about the same location 1" from the tip. Both pieces' clips are showing a little wear in the rolled gold plating, with some brassing on the ridge and point of the ballpoint's (see photos), and some tiny dark spots on the edges of both where the plating is starting to wear. There are also some tiny marks in the pearlescent jewels, but otherwise these two are gorgeous, with just minor handwear and microscratching. This model is designed very elegantly, well balanced with a nice heft, and both pen and pencil are working very smoothly.
Both pieces are engraved on their barrels in a minimalist font "Cummins M.R.L."
