Product Name Parker 65 Flighter Deluxe, Flighter refers to the style of the cap and barrel and Deluxe refers to the trim.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in England -- 1975-82, the Flighter Deluxe was introduced in 1970, but the metal end pieces were introduced in 1975. The model was produced until 1982.
Length The pen is 5-3/8".
Filling System The fountain pen uses a Parker-style cartridge and converter. An older style Parker squeeze converter is installed.
Color Lustraloy or brushed steel cap and barrel that was generally called "Flighter" when applied to the cap and the barrel. It has gold plated trim and metal convex jewels at either end. The section is black.
Nib FINE 14k gold nib is smooth and firm with great tipping material. We didn't find a mark on the section to label the nib size but it looks like a fine/medium to us.
Condition Excellent condition. There is a noticeable amount of plating wear on the trim as visible in the shot of the metal jewels. There is also a dent just beneath the trim to the left of the clip and some pitting marks to the right of the clip. There are additional pitting marks at the top of the barrel beneath the section. It's working well.
