Color Colonial pewter with a wooden disc on the tassie that is a relic from Independence Hall. The following is etched on the pen cap: "Wood in this limited edition pen is a relic of Independence Hall. Philadelphia - 1776" . The section is black.
Condition Very nice condition, in decorative wooden box, with paperwork and blank nameplate. This is a heavy, classically designed pen that is entirely make of Colonial pewter. Pewter is a soft metal and the cap and barrel have moderate to heavy marks and scratches. There is some nicks around the edge of the cap tassie and you see the under-metal peeking thru. The wood piece on the tassie looks good. This is a great piece for a Parker collector, or for a Colonial-era history buff! It is missing the key and the platform with the pen loop, but it does have the booklet and name plate and rectangular plate. The imprints are clear.
