Product Description
Type Fountain pen set
Product Name Parker 75 Flighter Deluxe
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1970-94, the design was introduced in 1970 and was produced until the end of the model.
Length The fountain pen is 5-1/16" and the ballpoint pen is 5".
Filling System The fountain pen takes Parker-style cartridges or converters. A Parker squeeze converter is installed. The ballpoint pen is cap actuated and takes Parker-style ballpoint refills. A working blue Parker ballpoint refill is installed.
Color These are Flighter Deluxes meaning that they have stainless steel caps and barrels with gold plated trim. The caps have a narrow etched gold plated cap band. The fountain pen has a black section. The section and entire nib unit are from the Parker Premier II.
Nib Broad Right Oblique 14k Parker nib. It's smooth with only slight give, with nice tipping. The section is marked 53. This nib is sometimes called a "Reverse Oblique Broad" because it is the less common right foot oblique suited to left handed writers (not a firm rule, virtually anyone can write with this nib unless they rotate their nibs to the right). The nib unit/section is from a French Parker Premier II which is why it doesn't have a reference band.
Condition Excellent + condition. There is some finish wear on both pens. None of it is that major but it is enough that the pieces don't look perfect. The narrow bands on the caps have some marks. The band on the section has no ink corrosion, which is unusual. There is low handwear. No scratches or dents.
