Product Description
Type High end pen set
Product Name Parker 75 Premier
Manufacturer and Year Parker, the fountain pen was made in France. The pencil and ballpoint was made in the UK -- 1980s, they began making this model in 1983 and made it for about a decade.
Length The fountain pen measures 5-3/8". The ballpoint pen measures 5-1/8". The mechanical pencil measures 5-5/16".
Filling System The fountain pen takes Parker-style cartridges and converters. A Parker squeeze converter is installed. Modern Parker piston converters do not fit. The mechanical pencil takes 0.5mm leads and uses a twist-lock mechanism. The barrel must be twisted to extend the tip. When twisted all the way, it "locks" in place and you can then press the button at the top of the cap. In that way it acts like a normal clicker pencil. If the tip is extended but not locked, the lead will extend but it's like holding the button down and the lead will not be usable for writing. The ballpoint pen takes Parker-style ballpoint refills. A working black Parker refill is installed. The tip extends and retracts via a twist mechanism.
Color Black cast acrylic. This design is called, "Noir." It has the faceted Gold plated trim with multi-faceted bands which catch the light and flat black onyx end jewels.
Nib MEDIUM 14k Nib. It has a hint of springiness to it and plenty of nice tipping material. It has a France imprint on it despite being 14k which means it is a nib for outside France. The feed has an M on it to identify the nib size.
Condition Superior condition. All three pieces have handwear and some fine microscratches. The pencil has the least amount of scratches whereas the ballpoint pen has the most with a group of lengthwise marks on the cap. There is one fine scratch on the plastic section of the fountain pen. It has a little bit of trim wear on the edges of the bands but not enough to see without magnification. The ballpoint has plating wear on all of the edges of the bands and a spot of wear on the cone. It is a little hard to notice the wear from the light bouncing off of the facets. The pencil has no plating wear. No cracks or chips. The cap band imprints are easily read . They ship in a Parker Premier box with paperwork, clip tag, and pen sleeve.
