Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker Vacumatic body/nib, with a smooth gold filled cap that was originally from a Parker 51.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA and Ariel Kullock, Argentina. The pen was assembled by the Kullock team using a combination of Parker parts. (Very lttle modification except for the cap, which has had the addition of a Vacumatic inner cap that provides a celluloid cap lip and the threads inside the cap that allow it to work with the screw-on Vac barrel.) The barrel is dated 1943.
Length Slightly shorter than a full size Vacumatic pen, 5" capped
Filling System Vacumatic filling system. Cleaned, tested, and working perfectly.
Color Emerald green pearl ringed barrel with good transparency. Parker 51 gold filled cap has been polished to a smooth finish, trimmed and fitted over a Vacumatic celluloid cap. Possibly replated because the gold looks very shiny with no wear. "Blue Diamond" clip is probably from a Vacumatic or Parker 51. Green striped cap jewel.
Nib Medium 14k Vacumatic nib, very smooth and firm with excellent tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. A small dent on the cap near the vent hole. There are a few hairline cracks in the gold filled part of the cap, but the interior of the cap is comprised of the original Vacumatic celluloid cap, so the gold filled exterior is just a covering.
