Product Description
Type Vintage Desk Pen with Base
Product Name The product number is marked in ink on the sticker, but we're not sure if it says "21D" or "WD." This was the "Sealomatic" base, and could be fitted with a few different pens according to the price list on the sticker. It has a Parker Challenger in it, which was probably the least expensive option, with a Vacumatic no doubt as another option. Someone has written "Ladies" in pencil on the bottom label, which means it held the smaller size pens
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA, late1930s. The pen is dated 1939.
Length The round base is about 3-1/2" across. The pen is 6-7/8" long.
Filling System Button filler, restored here at PSP with a new sac.
Color The porcelain or glass base is black, and the pen is black with gold trim.
Nib MEDIUM.14k , with excellent tipping material.
Condition Excellent+, the base is near perfect with its original decal and lable on the felt bottom. The pen is equally nice, with no cracks or issues, but it has a small cluster of scratches where the tail screws into the barrel.
