Color Blue Marble, with black end pieces and gold plated trim. It has two cap bands and two bands near the end of the barrel, as well as two bands at the front of the section.
Nib Medium 18k nib is smooth. It is marked M on the feed.
Condition Near mint condition in box, with papers. Minimal handwear and polishing marks, no plating wear. The imprint is very clear and crisp. It has all the special paperwork and boxes, and the box is in almost perfect shape.
An interesting note: there's a certificate underneath the display tray that notes that this edition was "strictly limited to production in 1988", but the date code is 1987. Indeed, Tony Fischler's excellent Parker Pens web site notes that "The Centennial was officially introduced to commemorate Parkers 100 year jubilee 1888-1988, but production had already started in 1987."
