Type Vintage fountain pen and pencil set.
Product Name Parker Duofold button filler aka Geometric aka "Toothbrush." This is the "slender" size.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1940 (pencil has a 0 with three dots date code on its barrel).
Length Pen is 4-11/16", pencil is 4-3/4".
Filling System Button filler. We restored it with a new sac and its working very well. The pencil takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads which extend via the traditional twist mechanism. A pack of leads will be included.
Color Brown marble with black "toothbrush" marks and gold plated trim. Black jewels on top of caps.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen nib marked .27.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, though the trim is worn. This is a uniquely patterned and colored set with some pearlescence and great shine. The fountain pen barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate scratching especially near the end. The cap has moderate scratching with some heavy scratching near the top. The cap band has lots of small scratches as well as a couple of little dings and some dots of plating wear. The clip has heavy plating wear and scratching as does the clip band. The mechanical pencil has moderate to some heavy scratching (especially near the top of the cap portion). There are three or four splotches of discoloration, one near the cone and a few at the top of the cap. The cone has plating wear. The cap band has some plating wear along the edges and microscratching throughout. The clip and clip band have heavy plating wear and pitting. The black jewels on both pieces are excellent. The imprints are clear.
