Type Vintage fountain pen and pencil set.
Product Name Parker Duofold Button filler aka Geometric aka "Toothbrush." This is the junior size.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1940 (pen has a date code on its barrel, and the pencil has a 9 code).
Length Pen is 4-11/16", pencil is 4-3/4".
Filling System Button filler. We restored it with a new sac and its working very well. The pencil takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads which it should extend via the traditional twist mechanism, however it is not working properly.
Color Grey with black marks and chrome plated trim. The barrel of the pen is a little discolored so that its surface appears slightly golden brown on some parts of the barrel.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen USA is smooth with nice tipping material and a little sprigyness to it.
Condition Excellent condition. There are a few light scratches on the surface of both pen and pencil and a little brassing and light scratching on the trim of both pieces. There's light discoloration on the barrel of the pen (as mentioned above). No crack or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The pen is fully restored and working well.
The pencil is not working and is not in as good condition as the pen. It has some scratches and brassing on the cone. We have priced the set accrodingly.
