Product Description
Type Vintage button filling fountain pen.
Product Name Duofold Jr. Lucky Curve (it's marked clearly on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – later 1920s or early 1930s (no date code, it has two cap bands).
Length 4-9/16 inches.
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Moderne black and pearl with gold plated trim, two thin cap bands, and black ends. It has discolored considerably over the years, which is extremely common in this finish. The "pearl" color looks more caramel on most of the barrel and cap. The black hard rubber ends have turned a little brownish as well, as is common.
Nib MEDIUM gold Parker Duofold Deluxe nib. It's smooth with great tipping material. There's some light scratching on the top of the nib but this doesn't affect its writing at all. There's a short crack running down from the breather hole, but this will not get any worse as the result of normal writing.
Condition Very nice condition, excellent except for the fairly uniform discoloration. There are some smaller tool marks and scratches on the cap and barrel, some light marks of brassing on the edges and ball of the clip (see photos), and some microscratching on much of the trim. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
