Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Duofold Junior (Streamline)
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - early 1930s (No date code.)
Length 4-7/16" inches.
Filling System Button filler. We've fully restored it and it's working well.
Color Blue "Lapis" body and cap with gold plated trim. The color has aged a fair amount to a deeper blue, with the barrel a bit darker than the cap.
Nib Fine Parker Vacumatic nib is bouncy, and has nice tipping. It's very smooth. (The Vacumatic nibs were frequently used by the Parker service department after the original Duofold style nibs were no longer available, and that would be especially true towards the end of the Duofold days when the streamline versions appeared.)
Condition Excellent condition. The barrel is darker than the cap. There is light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap lip looks good, with no cracks or chips. Cap bands have brassing all around. The cap finial has some small bite marks. The ball of the clip has brassing, as do the sides of the clip, and the clip ring. The blind cap has moderate fading. The imprint is a bit worn away, but is still somewhat readable.
