Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Duofold Junior (Streamline)
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - early 1930s (No date code.)
Length 4-1/2" inches.
Filling System Button filler. We've fully restored it and it's working well.
Color Blue "Lapis" body and cap with gold plated trim. Two narrow (1/16") cap bands. The color is a beautiful deep, dark blue with white flecks. The barrel is slightly darker than the cap.
Nib Medium Parker Vacumatic nib is firm, and has excellent tipping. It's marked with an A ("Accountant") on the feed, and is very smooth. (The Vacumatic nibs were frequently used by the Parker service department after the original Duofold style nibs were no longer available, and that would be especially true towards the end of the Duofold days when the streamline versions appeared.)
Condition Excellent condition. The barrel is just a tiny bit darker than the cap, but the color is overall very good. There is light to moderate scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap lip looks good, with no cracks or chips. The cap bands look really good, with no brassing or plating wear. The cap finial and blind cap are both slightly faded, but there are no bite marks or chips. The ball of the clip has brassing, as do the sides of the clip, and the clip ring. The imprint is a bit worn, but is still quite readable.
