Product Description
Type Button filling ring-top fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Lucky Curve Duofold "Pastels" series.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1927-9, this is the pre-streamlined style pen.
Length A little over 4-1/4 inches, not counting the ring-top hardware.
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color We think this is the Naples Blue Pastel color, which when you see it on the pencil is a rich teal blue. On this pen the "grain" of the celluloid has absorbed some of the ink and you'll see thin black and green lines. There's one thin cap band where there were once two, with a thin black band between.
Nib FINE semi-flexible gold Lucky Curve nib marked B. It's smooth with nive tipping material. It has a bit of flex, with easy line variation from fine to a small broad, or a bit more with a little pressure. See our writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition except that it's missing the lower of its two cap bands. There are some marks of plating wear on the remaining cap band, and some lesser scratching on the cap and body. The black hard rubber end pieces are a bit discolored, and the barrel seems to have darkened just slightly, but the color still looks great. There are no cracks, chips, digns dents, or personalization. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
