Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Parker Duofold, Streamline. We are not sure of the exact model, it could be a Special or a Long Junior. This is the bandless (no cap band) version. The Parker Duofold Special was the same width as a Duofold Junior but longer, but this pen seems a little slender to us.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1930s, the Streamline Duofolds came out in 1929.
Length 4-15/16"
Filling System The fountain pen is a button filler. It has been restored with a new sac.
Color Solid black pen with smooth cap. Permanite. This is a bandless cap with the clip as the only trim. There is no indentation on the cap to indicate that it ever had a band. It has a single line barrel imprint.
Nib Flexible Broad Italic 14k nib. It is smooth and has very strong line variation. Unflexed it writes between a medium and broad cursive italic. When flexed the line variation increases. See the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. There are no cracks and it has a clear imprint. The pen is smooth and has no major scratches. It has a nice silhouette without the cap band. The color is consistent and the blind cap fits flush against the barrel. There are a few marks around the clip band a little bit of plating wear on said clip band. The pen has been fully restored and is working well.
