Product Description
Type | Fountain pen with aerometric filing system |
Product Name | Duofold ... we are not sure about this model, as it is as long as a Maxima (5-1/2") but it has a thinner cap band and is slightly less fat. The imprint just says "Parker Duofold", whereas the Maxima pens usually say that on the imprint. |
Manufacturer and Year | Parker, England. Probably the late '60s, due to the 35.4 mark on the nib (on earlier models they used letters only.) |
Length | 5-1/2 inches. |
Filling System | Aerometric squeeze filler like the later Parker 51s and the Parker 21s. |
Color | Red (burgundy) with gold trim. Thin size cap band with a lined triangles pattern (it looks sort of like this: ////\\\\////\\\\) |
Nib | Left oblique open nib is fairly stiff, but really excellent to write with and in perfect condition. |
Condition | Excellent condition with only light scratches on the cap and barrel. The clip and trim have some brassing on the high points, but the jewel is almost perfect. This pen is still very shiny and beautiful, despite the trim wear. |
