Type Vintage vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Parker Duofold filler aka "Vacufold" This is the largest size. This is a somewhat uncommon variation with a "Vacumatic" imprint that was only produced in late 1942 to early 1943.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in U.S.A. -- 1943 (the date code is a clear 3 with three dots).
Length 5-5/16".
Filling System Vacumatic filling system. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well. It has the late era plastic plunger.
Color "Maroon Stripe" color, stripes of black and stripes of various shades of burgundy and gray. Gold plated trim, with a "stacked coins" or jeweler's band and a split arrow clip.
Nib FINE (verging on the extra fine) gold Parker Vacumatic nib is smooth with nice tipping material, the feed is marked "A," which identifies it as an a non-standard feed.
Condition Excellent condition. The trim is in great condition with very little wear and nicely delineated detail in the clip. There are several bite marks on the blind cap and a scratch on the cap from clip contact. The barrel imprint is a bit faded but can still be read. The plastic plunger has ambered significantly. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The pen is fully restored and working well.
