Product Description
Type Vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Imperial, demi size
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in Canada -- 1941 (The imprint on the barrel is clear but we can't see the imprint on the nib.).
Length 4-7/8".
Filling System Vacumatic filling system with the plastic plunger. We have fully restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly. These Imperials originally had Speedline filling systems, but they were eventually phased out, so that might explain the plastic plunger, or it could be one of the Canadian variations.
Color Black striped with gold plated cap and trim. Black cap and barrel jewels. Wavy lines on cap, Blue Diamond clip.
Nib FINE (verging on the medium) 14k two-toned gold Vacumatic style Parker nib. It's smooth with excellent tipping, no flex.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap shows some light handwear and a few very shallow impressions, but no serious dents. A small amount of brassing on the sides of the clip. No cracks or chips in the plastic. Please note the personalization -- "A. Lupien" on the cap. The barrel looks great with good transparency and a crisp imprint, and no bite marks on the blind cap. The cap jewel is perfect; the blind cap jewel has a few tiny chips on the edges and sticks out a bit, so it is probably too large a size. It's fully restored and working well.
