Product Description
Type Very small ring-top button filling version of the Parker Jack Knife button filling "Safety Pen."
Product Name In the Lambrou book this pen is just identified as a Jack Knife Safety Pen in vest pocket size. It could be a model 20 1/2 though it is not marked. The marks say "Parker Fountain Pen - Gold Filled Patented" on the edge of the cap.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – circa 1920.
Length Just barely over 3-5/16" not counting the ring top hardware.
Filling System Button filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working very well.
Color Gold filled finish, top to bottom, even the section is gold filled. This pattern has plain panels alternating with lined and wavy panels.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM gold nib marked Parker Pen Lucky Curve. It's smooth with nice tipping. This is about what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from a small medium to a nice double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition except for a few very small, very light dents in the cap, and some small marks on the barrel and blind cap. The edges of the blind cap are slightly dinged and show a little brassing. No cracks or chips, no personalization, and generally only very light microscratching. The imprint is a bit worn but still quite readable. It's fully restored and working well.
