Product Name Parker Lucky Curve 25 1/2. (The 1/2 designated a chased hard rubber pen, while the smooth version lacked the 1/2 indicator.). Jackknife refers to the way the cap was made to prevent ink leakage.
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1920s
Length 4-3/4" and rather stout
Filling System Button filler with a replaced sac. Tested, it performs well.
Color Black Chased Hard Rubber Body with gold plated clip. The color is slightly faded to a dark brown on the cap and barrel. The section and the top of the barrel where the cap fits are the original black color.
Nib Parker Duofold firm medium nib, smooth with lots of tipping material. This nib has a "P" marking that most likely refers to the manufacturing factory location.
Condition Very nice condition for this short, stout, classic pen. The chasing on the cap and barrel look great. The barrel has a surface crack (or deep scratch) running across the imprint in a diagonal direction. Otherwise, the barrel looks quite nice. The cap has one thin scratch line on the lower part of the cap, and a small dot of noticeable discoloration toward the top. The clip and trim have quite a bit of plating wear. The section and top of the barrel have horizontal capping lines; the section also has small chips around its upper edge. No cap lip cracks. The imrpints are very clear.
