Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in excellent working condition
Product Name Parker Lady Duofold, Streamline. This is the bandless (no cap band) version with a ring top mechanism.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1930s, the Streamline Duofolds came out in 1929.
Length 4-1/2", this is the same length as the shorter sized Parker Duofold Junior but is slightly more slender.
Filling System The fountain pen is a button filler. It has been restored with a new sac.
Color Solid black pen with smooth cap. This is a bandless cap with the ring top components as the only trim. There is no indentation on the cap to indicate that it ever had a band.
Nib Extra Fine 14k nib. It is smooth and firm. No line variation. It is a Parker #2 nib with a P imprint and a Lucky Curve feed.
Condition Excellent + condition. There are no cracks and it has a clear imprint. The pen is smooth and has no major scratches. It has a nice silhouette without the cap band. The blind cap and cap piece that holds the ring top parts are a little lighter than the rest of the black material. Those parts are black hard rubber and the rest of the pen is black permanite. The cap ring moves well. The blind cap isn't perfectly flush with the barrel. The blind cap also has a nick in it and a few shallow bite marks. The feed is the original Lucky Curve "Christmas Tree" feed however the "hoof" part that would have extended into the sac has been removed (a common short-cut during the restoration process was to remove the curved end of the feed so that the feed could be knocked out.) The pen has been fully restored and is working well.
