Product Name Royal Challenger.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1938 (the date code on the barrel is a clear 8 with no dots and the nib matches with a date code of 18).
Length 5-3/16" (the "Standard" size, which was the largest of the two sizes and is frequently just called Large).
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well.
Color SIlver color is a grey marble pattern with strips of a herringbone with black lines running down it. Nickel plated trim with three thin cap bands and a Spade style clip. The blind cap and both jewels are black.
Nib FINE gold Parker Pen nib. It is smooth and slightly springy.
Condition Very nice condition. The nickel trim looks nice in hand but shows an average amount of plating wear. There are small scratches in the cap jewel and the blind cap is littered with bite marks. The imprint is a bit hard to read but is still legible. The rest of the pen has hardly any wear. No cracks or chips or dents. The pen is fully restored and working well.
