Product Description
Type High-end modern fountain pen.
Product Name Sonnet (this is the first version with the thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- 1993 (the date code is a clear IL indicating 1993).
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen takes Parker style cartridges and converters. A twist converter is installed.
Color Laque Firedance finish of black and red lacquer in a lovely pattern with 23k gold plated trim. It's a pretty even mix of red and black.
Nib MEDIUM 18k gold nib is smooth with perfect tipping, it's marked M on the feed. It has a decent amount of flexibility to it, the sort of springy-ness you find in modern nibs, not like vintage flex. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen has light handwear and there are a couple of spots of plating wear on the ring nearest the nib, otherwise it looks great. The imprint looks great. No cracks, dings, dents, or scratches. It's working perfectly. In modern Parker gift box, not the original Sonnet box.
