Product Description
Type High-end modern fountain pen.
Product Name Sonnet (this is the early version with the thin cap band).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- 1994, the year the Sonnet hit the market (the date code is a clear lllI on the cap).
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Takes Parker style cartridges, or you can fill it with bottled ink via the included converter.
Color Cascade Silver, silverplated body with a wavy sort of chevron pattern and gold plated trim. This was one of the top-of-the-line versions of the Sonnet.
Nib EXTRA FINE 18k nib is smooth with nice tipping material with a feed marked X. It's smooth and has just a little flex to it so that it can produce a medium line with a little pressure.
Condition Near mint condition with some very light microscratching on the cap and barrel and a little wear on the section. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. Though the barrel and cap are new old stock, the nib has been lightly used, and there is plating wear on the thin gold plated ring near the tip which you can see in the photos.
