Product Description
Type High-end modern fountain pen.
Product Name Sonnet (this is the first version with the thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, France -- 1997 (the date code is a clear IIP indicating 1997).
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System The pen takes Parker style cartridges and converters. A Parker piston converter is installed.
Color Laque Firedance finish of black and red lacquer in a lovely pattern with 23k gold plated trim. It's a pretty even mix of red and black.
Nib FACTORY STUB 18k nib is very smooth with lovely tipping. It is a bit springy. The section is labeled S. It's a good looking nib.
Condition Excellent + condition. There is a scratch on the cap in line with the end of the clip and a few additional marks on the barrel. There's minimal wears on the nib collar trim which is unusual. People often dip their pens too deeply into the ink or the pen leaks into the cap, and this can corrode the trim. The cap imprint is clear. No cracks, dings, dents, plating wear, or lacquer wear. It's working perfectly.
