Color This gold and light red painted finish was called "Chinese Laque Red" and has 23k gold plated trim. Supposedly this color was introduced in '98, so these pens were probably made in '97 to be sold in '98.
Nib MEDIUM solid 18k two-tone nib is very smooth with lovely tipping. It has just slight flex to it, the springyness you find in modern nibs, not real, vintage flex. This is one of the original nibs for the Chinese lacquer pens, two-tone with an extra band on the section.
Condition Mint condition with hardly a spot of wear on either pen. It's possible that these pens have never been used. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, plating wear, or personalization. The original tags are still on their clips.
