Product Description
Type New old stock fountain pen
Product Name "Super 21" .... this was an upgrade to the standard Parker 21, Parker introduced these in 1956 and made them up until 1965. They were a definite improvement on the standard model 21, because they featured the same tubular octanium nib as the 51 Special and the 41. They also have a smaller exposed oval feed area than the regular 21, similar to the 51. The clip is fancier too, and similar to the one used on the 45. And unlike the standard Parker 21's, the plastic is strong and doesn't crack and warp as easily.
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA, 1956-65
Length 5-3/8"
Filling System Built in aerometric squeeze filler, like the Parker 51 aerometric pens.
Color Black
Nib Steel octanium semi-hooded nib. Fine nib with an Architect Grind. See writing sample below. With an architect nib, which is almost the opposite from an italic, you get a wide line on the horizontal stroke and a thinner line on the downstroke. This started as a fine nib, so the line variation is not dramatic, but it is great for adding a little extra character to your writing.
