Product Description
Type fountain pen.
Product Name Parker T1.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1970-71, this was a very short lived model.
Length 5-1/8 inches long.
Filling System Takes Parker-style cartridges and converters. A Parker squeeze converter is installed.
Color Brushed titanium pen with gold plated trim. The section and nib are a single unit. There are semi-transparent red "jewels" inset at both ends of the pen. This is the lighter in color of the two brushed finishes.
Nib Fine/Medium integrated titanium nib.
THIS NIB IS FRAGILE AND SHOULD NOT BE USED WITH HEAVY WRITING PRESSURE. If the buyer cracks the nib, or the tipping material breaks off, we cannot give a refund, so exercise great care. In fact, most T1s are put in collections and not used.
Lots of iridium and very little wear. The nib adjusting screw is in place. This was originally intended to allow the user to adjust the nib width, but more often than not it caused a crack in the feed. The feed on this pen is not cracked but it does have some marks on one corner; in our opinion these are a consequence of the manufacturing process and not cracks.
Condition Excellent condition. The finish is fairly even. There are slight posting marks , though they don't completely encircle the barrel. There are a few other blemishes here and there. There's a small mark on the cap where the tip of the clip rubbed, you can see it in the photos. The gold clutch ring also has plating wear. The jewels are clear. This pen looks really great and is something to be cherished by collectors. The imprints are clear. No dents, cracks, chips, or broken off pieces of any kind.
