Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Parker T1.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1970-71, this was a very short lived model. We believe this is the second version, with the smoother darker finish.
Length 5-1/8 inches long.
Filling System Takes Parker-style cartridges and converters. A Parker squeeze converter is installed.
Color Brushed titanium pen with gold plated trim. The section and nib are a single unit. There are semi-transparent red "jewels" inset at both ends of the pen. This is the darker in color of the two brushed finishes.
Nib MEDIUM integrated titanium nib.
THIS NIB IS FRAGILE AND SHOULD NOT BE USED WITH HEAVY WRITING PRESSURE. If the buyer cracks the nib, or the tipping material breaks off, we cannot give a refund, so exercise great care. In fact, most T1s are put in collections and not used.
Lots of iridium and very little wear. The nib adjusting screw is in place and the small adjusting tool is included. This was originally intended to allow the user to adjust the nib width, but more often than not it caused a crack in the feed! The feed on this pen is not cracked but it does have some marks on one corner; in our opinion these are a consequence of the manufacturing process and not cracks.
Condition Near mint condition with no cracks, dents, or dings. This is a unique, shiny pen with sleek styling. The cap and barrel have light to moderate signs of usage. There are small shiny marks on both the cap and barrel. The section has marks caused by the cap lip. The thin gold cap band looks nice. The clip is in excellent condition. The clip ring has some microscratching. The red end disks have surface microscratches. This pen looks great and is something to be cherished by collectors. The imprint is clear.
