Product Description
Type | Fountain pen part (not complete pen) .... is an option, you can choose to have us install the sac for an extra $5 (see the pulldown menu) |
Product Name | Vacumatic filling unit |
Manufacturer and Year | This came from a Vacumatic from the 1940s |
Compatibility | This type of filling unit was used in various sizes of Parker Vacumatic (all but the Maxima), and the Parker 51 Vacumatic pens, both demi and full sized. |
Condition
|
Excellent condition with no damage that would impair its ability to function. The weakest part of these filling units is the plastic pellet socket, which frequently is cracked or chipped or even missing from pens found "in the wild." The pellet socket on this unit is in excellent condition. There's a little pitting on the aluminum parts, but you can't see those parts once the sac is in place and the filling system installed. In order to complete the repair of your Parker 51 or Parker Vacumatic, you'll need a special wrench and the right rubber sac for your pen. If you look up "Vacumatic repair" on the web you'll find plenty of guidance on how to do it, but be advised it is not a particularly easy repair. We have a few of these and the photos below are of just one of the ones we have for sale. Yours will look as good as this one, though the plastic piston may have a slightly different color. |
