Type Vintage Vacumatic-filling fountain pen.
Product Name Vacumatic Junior (the same size as a major, but with no Blue Diamond and with two thin cap bands).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1941 (the date code is a clear 1 with one dot).
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Vacumatic "Speedline" filler. We've restored the filling system with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly.
Color Black. The barrel has alternating black and clear stripes, to allow good visualization of fhe ink level. The cap is all black. Gold plated trim, a split arrow clip, two thin cap bands, and two black jewels.
Nib FINE gold Parker nib is firm and smooth with nice tipping material. The nib says "Parker U.S.A.", and the feed is marked with an A.
Condition Excellent condition. There's a fair bit of plating loss on the sides of the clip. There is microscratching on the cap and barrel, and small bite marks on the blind cap. The tassie on the blind cap has some brassing. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is clear, and the barrel clarity is excellent. It's fully restored and working very well.
