Product Description
Type Vac filling vintage fountain pen
Product Name Parker Vacumatic Junior
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA -- 1937 (The date code on the barrel couldn't be made out but the date code on the nib is a 47 with two dots. 1937 is the year the Vacumatic transitioned from a lockdown system to a speedline system so it works.)
Length 4-11/16".
Filling System Vacumatic aluminum lockdown plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is in excellent working condition. The bladder has been replaced and the pen has been tested.
Color Burgundy Pearl Marble is a marbled burgundy barrel and cap with a black section and two narrow cap bands. There is a black jewel on each end and the trim is gold plated.
Nib FINE 14k nib is a smooth writer and very firm. It is a narrow fine nib with a date code of ".47.". The nib would have originally been single tone
Condition Very nice condition. There is some plating wear on the trim. The blind cap was a replacement we found but it doesn't fit flush with the barrel. Some marks caused by capping and posting. There are bite marks on the barrel but not on the blind cap. The barrel imprint is mostly illegible, and there is a very faint hint of a personalization which has been 90% removed.
