Manufacturer and Year Parker USA -- 1938 (The date code on the barrel is an 8, as is the code on the nib. 1937 is the year the Vacumatic transitioned from a lockdown system to a speedline system so this is probably one of the last lockdowns.)
Length 4-11/16".
Filling System Vacumatic aluminum lockdown plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is in excellent working condition. The bladder has been replaced and the pen has been tested.
Color Black with amber striation in the barrel with a black section and three narrow cap bands. There is a black jewel on each end of the pen and the trim is gold plated.
Nib FINE 14k nib is a smooth writer and very firm. It is a narrow fine nib with a date code of "8".
Condition Excellent condition. Some marks caused by capping and posting. There are light scratch marks on the cap and on the barrel. There are bite marks on the end of the pen. The barrel imprint is clear; there is no personalization.
